Workshop Lead - John Haynes

In recent months we have engaged

with a number of maritime organisations

to consider their challenges as roles change.

Lessons from the past are highly relevant at this time.

In 2005 there were urgent operational requirements

following 9/11. Government agency 'boats' became

bigger, faster and roles expanded. As fast craft

evolved we delivered specialist training and support.

By 2015 the world was a calmer place and the aim

was improved efficiency. New technology focus was on

WBV, electronics and unmanned vessels. Safety and PPE

became more technical - including man overboard survival.

2025 will be a challenging year for many maritime sectors.

Navy and military operations are increasing around the

globe. Changes in US politics will affect maritime.

UK and Europe are keeping busy at their sea borders.

NEXT GEN FAST CRAFT takes a deeper dive

into real world issues today and potential solutions

for both in-service vessels and future craft.
